  • Why are you retiring?
    I am 72 years old, and decided it's time !
  • When is the last day you will take clothing for alteration in Stowe?
    February 16th, 2024 will be the last day we take new alterations at the Tailor Shop in Stowe.
  • When can I pick up my clothes left at The Tailor Shop until?
    February 29th, 2024 at 18:00. After this time, all remaining clothes left will be donated. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Will you contine working after February 2024?
    After February 29, 2024, I will be semi-retired, and accepting additional work by appointment only at our studio in Craftsbury.
  • Will you be taking in new clothes between February and June?
    No, we will not be taking in any new work between February and June, 2024. This time we will be focusing on closing down the Tailor Shop in Stowe.
  • How can I book an appointment for future alterations?
    You can book on the www.tailorshopstowe.com webpage online with our automated reservation calendar. We will accept clients on most Wednesdays by appointment only. Or, follow directly this link: https://calendly.com/tailorshop_craftsbury Each client will have a 30-minute private appointment window.
  • Can you mail altered the clothing back to me?
    Yes, we can mail repaired clothing back to you by Fedex. The shipping cost will be at your charge.
  • Can two people come for the same fitting time slot?
    Yes, it is fine if you want to come with a family member or a friend. You will share the reserved time slot. Please be sure to mention this during your booking.
  • I have a wedding dress to alter, is one 30 minute appointment enough?
    For wedding dress appointments, please reserve 2 time slots, 2 weeks apart.
  • Will the new location be handicap accessible?
    Unfortunately, the Craftsbury studio is not handicap accessible. Our home studio is on the second floor and requires walking up one flight of stairs.
